2007 Honda Rancher FI ES. OEM is Maxxis M977 & M978. I understand these tires are only available on the ATVs when they are brand new, I wish I could buy new tires that are exactly the same. This machine is 12 years old and has 2000 miles on it and I’m thinking it’s time for new tires, I love these tires and wish I could just buy the exact ones.

Apparently I can’t, so does anybody know what the nearest equivalent tires are?

If you like the stock tires, check out Bridgestone Dirt Hooks, Honda used them as stock for a while and should be very similar.

man with so many BETTER than stock tire options, your, I think the rare buyer here that wants stock tires again LOL
and the main reason most want out of STOCK tires is there low ply tires that tend to be prone to damage way faster than other better upgrade tires and most DON"T cost all that much more $$ and you get better traction and life and protection from flats
BUT if you MUST have OEM tires, have you looked for them for sale on p[laces like EBay
odds are they have them there for you!

If you really want the original tires, partzilla and rockymountainatv have some, look in the OEM parts section under front and rear wheel or go to a dealership I'm sure they can order you some. They also sometimes have new take offs from people that upgrade tires and wheels.

You can still buy the stock tires, they run about $70 a piece on rocky mountain.

Just checked there, nothing!

How about the original Maxxis Bighorns? They look similar.
Bighorns are nothing like the stock Rancher tires. They are MUCH better.
Rockymountainatv and partzilla does have them but you have to look in the OEM parts section under your ATV front and rear wheel #3 and#7. They are not in the tire section.

Pretty sure a 2019 Rancher comes with the same garbage tires that the 2007 did. If you want new tires exactly the same as the old ones order them for any year rancher, they are about $70 each. My dealer sells complete sets for 100-150 IIRC, so check local dealers.

You guys have me thinking.

How are the Maxxis Bighorns better, I don’t mind paying more, just use the quad for moderate trail riding pretty much.

Bighorn or Bighorn 2?

original big horns, get my vote ,they have more tread than the 2's, but the 2's they say ride smoother? so?

these tires just work better in ALL places than the OEM tires and there strong tire, meaning less flats
there also known to last a LOT longer than OEM tires
there just a better tire every way IMO

you will also as Mac said, find a TON of folks that get rid of OEM tires when atv is even NEW and many dealers well complete sets right off the atv, even on wheels, and many times for a pretty cheap deal
there and craisgslist you can find them for sale pretty often if you look!
