Have a 2001 TRX350FE 4 x 4 in need of a speed sensor
Seems they are No longer listed only the plug in which "mine is not"
Question being
Is there a mod to the newer style out there that will take place of this hard wired one or
is it just a lost cause being so old

Have you searched for a good used item?

Power sports nation.com would be a good place to start. Also, have you tried OEM Honda?

First thanks for your response

I do have a used one located as no guarantee on electrical and no return item policy exists
Seems OEM Honda doesn't have this style listed under any part #.

Researched many wiring schematics unable to even come up with a part number
as they all lead toward the shift sensor unit which has already been replaced

This type sensor also has a spacer allowing for the length of the pick up probe
Seems this may have been a rush design to deplete this style of surplus sensors
Kind of leading me to believe there must be a fix replacing this design
with a shorter probe unit allowing for the plug in style
Guess it's wishful thinking and still searching

Update :
All's Good now
Further testing found an open circuit issue
caused by our friendly little rodent
