Shade or Anyone that would know,
The parts came in for my Rancher, rear drive shaft boot, brake drum shield, and yoke protector plate. Is it possible to just take the rear shock loose, remove the swing arm bolts and shift the rear end backwards to get the shaft out of the transmission to slide the new boot and rings over the drive shaft? Or is that a no no. FF

Probably busy, I'd take any council I can get.:grin Not a big mechanic. but not totally helpless either. Mainly just wanting to know if I can pull that shaft out of the transmission to slide the boot and rings on.

Leave shock connected and swivel the rear swingarm back to replace the boot
