I would be riding on the trails...i have no interest in racing. And thank you very much.
Welcome to the forums! :icon_ devil: If your riding trails than yes, the 400x is a great decision. One of the best trail bikes ever made. The 400x(ex) will last literally forever...
You won't have any regrets with it.

I was refering to the ad up above lol, but i was in much debate whether i should purchase a KFX450r but i was told that they are not good in the trails becasue the 450's are always hungry for RPMs which u cant always get in the trails.

Yea man, definitely try to get a brand new 2007 or even if they have 06's? It's brand new and there's really not a thing different from the 09's besides plastics and something about the seat? Maybe a few other small differences but buying on 07 brand new is the way to go. I can also 2nd that about the 450r's being RPM hungry...I had an 05 TRX 450r and I liked it and all but it was always lugging even in 1st with a 13 tooth sprocket. I'm glad I made the change to a 400ex.
