Runs great until warm then bogs and stalls. Let sit for a few moments and starts and runs good again. New CDI, new coil, new carb kit, cleaned fuel tank, new petcock, in-line gas filter still the same issue.......out of answers.....hopefully someone can help.

I have a 93 also-tremendous rig I don’t ride it enough
When you say the choke looks good I don’t know what you mean, that conical oring has to be a little snug in the bore and actually seat when you close the choke. This quad uses a VE90EA carb so if you have a knockoff carb the choke may not be seating. See the choke valve in my pic? If yours looks like mine it’s no good.

Is your spark plug black? Too rich–choking. Soak it with some carb cleaner and clean it with a brass brush. Set your pilot jet to 2 turns out.

When you switch on does the oil light come on momentarily and then go out?
So if it is shutting down when it gets hot perform the oil temp sensor and alarm unit test on page 20-4 of the manual

It is the original carb. Exactly as yours in picture. I got the parts off ebay so they are a knock off. I never changed the o ring on the choke valve so i will look at that. The oddity is symptoms have never changed with everything ive done. When i turn on the key the oil comes on but goes right off. I will do that oil sensor test.

I got a 92 ----- my first thoughts when they malfunction after getting hot is an electrical issue , maybe the coil , cdi or alarm box , but it could be a lot of things that could cause it to run bad after waring up , maybe simple as the tank vent is clogged up or turned off and it is not venting the tank and causing a suction that is stopping the flow , maybe the piston/rings are on the way out and after it gets hot the compression drops , maybe a valve sticking after it gets hot

like Goober asked , what does the plug look like ----do you have a compression tester , check the compression cold and then after t gets hot

China parts don't work, so the first step should be putting everything back to stock OEM Honda so you can diagnose the issue you're having, rather than diagnosing known-to-be-improper-junk china parts.

You may only need a bit of choke plunger work or something simpler than that.

I actually cleaned the plug and adjusted the mixture jet from a you tube video and ran it for awhile. It sputtered a couple of times once hot but kept running. I pulled the plug again noticed no black soot on it so adjustment must have helped. I will give it a good run tomorrow and see how it goes. The quad was my father in laws in Wisconsin and probably not more than a thousand miles on it. Original tires are like new. He would bring to Canada moose hunting years ago and that is the extent of its use. I have it here in Canada now. I appreciate the assistance and comments, i understand the sentiment on the after market parts.

Good to hear!
Get the Honda service manual we have here or buy bound edition. They’re great.
Yeah run that puppy for at least 30 minutes
Some other tips if you still have problems try running premium ethanol free fuel with a bit of Seafoam. There might be some carbon built up in the combustion chamber.
There’s a screen built into the bottom of the petcock. Shut off the petcock pull the screen out and check for debris. Is so clean it with a clean nylon bristle brush–toothbrush works.
Can also drain and inspect the tank by swapping a piece of fuel hose to the petcock and divert into a fuel can. Shine a bright flashlight in there to make sure some grandkid didn’t drop a handful of dirt in there lol!

I’m thinking your tank cap vent could be clogged too.

Thanks, i did the tank clean with apple cidar vinegar....truly amazing result. I put a new pet cock and in line filter and cleaned the vent. I never got around to running it yet due to other chores. I will post how it goes when i can run it this week. I am going to use the sea foam and run it a bit. Thanks.
