My power steering on my trx420 is not working well, in fact quite stiff. Is there a way of resetting it?

Under what conditions did the power steering quit? What have you tried so far to get it restored, i.e., electrical connections, testing wires for current and/or fuse? If needed, the tech section here you can download the tech manual for many different models.

I have checked Tyre pressures only. The steering is generally stiffer, especially when turning left than the new 420 we bought last year. I will try the tech section for a few clues. Thank you

Thanks.. however only new here. Don’t seem to be able to have access to manuals.
Has anyone had problems with power steering? I have checked fuses, motor has continuity. When checking voltage to motor, voltage increases when turning steering to right, no change when turning to left.

I’d check all the simple things first, hub ball joints, steering arms ball joints, steering stem bush and bearing. You’d be amazed how much dry joints stiffen up the steering.

There is a factory service manual available to download here, it will show all fault diagnosis.
