Ooh, NICE :)

I’m all over this thread like a rash, I’ve been considering a PS kit for quite some time!

Set me right , I heard that when the power steering goes out , it is harder to steer than with no power steering to start with , you can't steer it < myth of fact ---- seems like a lady/handicap thing , getting old and tired LBZ ?

Nope, I had a Rubicon not to long ago that the PS light was on yet still easy to steer. Easy enough I thought it was working, until after riding it a bit I guess it cleared any codes from installing a new engine that the light went off and the PS kicked in... and wow yep I love power steering. Moral of the story is it does not hinder any steering effort if it does goes out.

Going to be a mild trail/mud bike build. Mainly for the wife to ride. It shouldn’t be any harder to steer if PS goes out. Not old but definitely tired most of the time, LOL. I got a smoking deal on it, they list for $599 and I got this one unopened for $200 so I decided to give it a try.

I've never wanted PS on a bike, but for $200 I would have bought it anyway LOL.

I rode an 09 420AT with PS. Didn't like the disconnect that I felt from the trail. It was easy to steer for sure, but I had a hard time feeling my way through the ruts with it.

Wife rode the same bike and she didn't like it either, for the same reason, so I got her 420AT without PS.

Heck of a deal on that kit though!

Yeah, pretty hard to pass it up for the money. Plans for this build are 28" outlaw 2's, 14" old school c-series ITP, mild swingarm stretch and 420 2wd front aarms (Arched). New motor top to bottom, all new tie rod ends, ball joints, bushings. Thinking about a 35% reduction but if I do that I will move up to 29.5 OL2.

You just need to try it with some fat rubber on the front. 31x11’s on the Renegade I could use a bit more steering power. Though the 3 levels is nice you can turn it down to suit the rider.....

The PS on my Grizz 450 is nearly perfect. Never once have I felt "disconnected" from the trail. I can ride all day with it, and with my physical condition that is say A LOT. Hop onto my non-PS Rancher or dad's Recon, and the extra steering effort is immediately noticeable and can wear me out on the trails in no time. Plus, the kickback resistance from the PS might even be a biggest benefit.

Let us know how it turns out. I might have to put one on for my wife. Also how does it mount and how does it work?
They sell a "Universal" kit. Basically the same kit as this one but with different mounting plates. Mine is for a Rhino sxs but the bike is basically down to the frame right now so fab work should be easy.
