How about those balloon tires

When we’re talking about vintage ATVs, particularly three wheelers, nostalgia goes a long ways. Most people have a preference for one machine over another because of a fond memory associated with that particular model, not necessarily because it was the best performing. With that said, which model of the ATC 250R do you like better?

I owned a water-cooled 85 R trike a few years back. It was a lot of fun but more of a garage queen than something I rode. I ended up selling it to get the 4 wheeler version. I always wanted a first gen 81-82 R just because they were the original high performance ATV but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Maybe some day.

Here is the 85 I owned back about 5 years ago. It was so nice, almost all original. I kick myself for selling it.

If its to ride, the latest model would be best of course. If for show, well...IMO the original.

There are so few of these in England, UK that I didn't even know there were two models! All I've seen and read about to date are the later ones.
I watched one go on eBay for £9,000! That pretty much counts me out of ever owning one unfortunately!
For me though it would be the later 250r.
