I may have not paied attention and posted in the wrong thread, ment to post in repair and maintenance. Sorry guys and gals.
I seen an article by Helmut I think years ago, and was looking to compare colors. I noticed factory adjustments (at least mine maybe other 300's or atvs). How this all started is when I got my 300 years ago, it would rev up high with choke on when cold, so I had to play Sherlock Holmes, no intake or seal leaks, or clogged circuits so the idle mix was lean from the factory for a tan colored plug years ago. Dont always believe a coffee colored plug that's been in an atv for years and never changed (especially if one owner). Here's a photo of my iridium plug NGK DPR8EIX-9.
Not overly rich, not white as Caspar the ghost either. Has great low end response and power doesn't run wild like it used to or like grandpa's 300 and doesn't pop on decel. Runs like a scalded ape and when warmed up I can rap it and instant response (I never do that on a cold engine).
