Hi all,
Rebuilding a 2007 Rancher 420 electric shift. As I pulled the front cover, transmission side, case apart, I saw this little hut looking thing fall out. I can not make out where it came from!
Please help, thanks!

I can't say for sure ?, but it almost looks like the orifice that is stuck down in the oil passage for the oil relief area ?. look inside the front cover, and see if you notice anything missing from this area ?.

Went on partzilla, didn't see anything like it either.

I know, little odd thing, no bigger than an eraser on a #2 pencil, and mushroom cap shaped with a small hole in the middle. It kinda looks like a carb jet.
I will look into the oil relief area, thanks.

orifice sounds like a good guess , it kind of looks like the end of a push rod or a piece that might go into a rocker arm

Thanks, that’s also what the machine shop owner said, but the 420 uses giant and more rounded push rods.
Only thing we can think off is that someone topped of the oil w used and got this in the case from another engine!

Machine was well maintained until the last guy had it for a short time....did some odd things to another ATV I picked up as well.
