Hi, I want to either rebuild or replace the petcock on my 1985 Fourtrax 250. To buy the parts from Honda to do the rebuild is approx. $50 CND. I have seen aftermarket ones on eBay for cheaper then I can rebuild plus less time. Does anyone know if they are any good or had any experience with this? Thanks

There is not much to a petcock valve, I would go with the Ebay one

here's a link for also your tank thread..and i doubt you will want to replace the gas tank..seeing how they run around 500 bucks down here..lol..and the petcock is 70 something...your best bet is ebay..oh..you can use any petcock that has the screw on bowl design from just about any petcock from any gas tank. Honda NLR, Honda of North Little Rock, Arkansas Yamaha, motorcycles, scooters, atvs, side by sides, Rhinos, Big Red, used motorcycles and ATV's

I agree, get the one from Ebay if it will fit. One is probably just as good as the other.
