I bought my 2002 Honda 450 Foreman ES from a buddy who had it registered as a 2003. I recently ordered a 2003 owners manual for it and after checking out the wheeler a bit more realized it's a 2002. So now I have a 2003 owners manual for a 2002. I'd like to give it a good once over and change fluids, etc. Are the manuals interchangeable or were there major differences between 2002 & 2003? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums, I can't say for sure about the foremans but I guarantee you someone here knows and will be along to answer your question correctly. If I had to guess though they are the same as far as fluids and general maintenance go.

They will be the same, or extremely close. The foreman changed in 2005, and the service manual for my 2008 says '2005-2009'.

I think [not exactly sure] that the foreman changed in 2000 or 2001, and all machines in the same year range will be nearly identical. As for changing the fluids and basis stuff, it will not be different.

As far as the fluids, they should be the same. Everything else should be basically the same. I don't think you will find too much different.
