Having a rear basket on my Honda Rancher caused a problem but saved me last spring . I was driving up a steep incline with water-bars across the road . It is a real steep climb . Had a cooler and stuff in the rear basket and had my wife sitting behind me . I put a ladderstand pad on the front of the basket for her to sit on . She was sitting back a ways and when I hit the 3rd water bar and started to climb , I popped a wheelie . The ATV had the front end in the air and it was resting on the rear tires and basket . I hit the kill switch , had the wife get off , then I did . Pulled the front end down and started it up . If it hadn't been for the basket , it would have flipped on us . I learned a valuable lesson ............
Put some weight on the front end and lean forward when climbing hills .
Like Mama used to say , "stupid is as stupid does" !
