Hi All,
Bought an '86 350 4Trax when they first came out, sold it to get a new '90 4Trax when they came out......have been riding the '90 since then.

Back in my dim memory, it seems to me that Honda had a 'factory' winch option with a OEM mounting kit, and a Warn 2500? winch for 4Trax like mine.

Anyone heard of this factory option, or have one?

Did swap the racks on the '90 for the ones on the '86.......'86 racks were made using larger diameter tubing. Used 'rolled' expanded metal, 2" x 1", to cover the racks. Great for packing bear hides. I'm rambling....:blush:

Any OEM winch info...much appreciated, thank you

first off..and yes...i know they did not offer the '90 350 fourtrax in usa..they sold them in canada..but for usa..they only sold the '86-'89's..i've owned all of them at one time or another..and all of them never came with a winch on any of them..and as of now..warn does not offer any mounting plates for them. now...if your pretty handy with a welder..drill press or drill..you can do what i did..and fab your own mounting plate..easy to do...i made my own..and had plenty of room to put a warn xt25 under the front.

not sure if the 350 has the same frame on the front as my '89 300 4x4, but in the next few days I'll try and post pics on here of the bumper/winch mount combo that I'm fabbing up our of 1/2" steel plate... not sure which winch I'm gonna pick up yet, but I should have the bumper/mount on the quad by maybe tues or wed morning. May be able to give you an idea of how to make one... I wanna make the bumper/mount a combo for th strength factor... all gonna be welded together then bolted or welded onto frame of bike...

nope..the frame is not the same on the front, the 350's back then..like mine..has a different front tube design on the lower front...they are not like the trx300's at all...there is a place to mount a winch plate though..just takes alittle welding..pre-drill the metal for the mounting holes for the winch..and he's good to go.

i have a 86 4trax 250 and i wanted to know what size tires go on the front?? and how can i make it a bit faster??
Front = 21X7-10

Rear = 25X12-9

As far as making it faster, I don't really know. I don't think they sell many aftermarket parts for that quad.
