Changed the oil for the first time on an 09 Rincon 680. Book says refill with 4.3 US Qts. That amount overfills by a considerable amount. the level without screwing in the dipstick is at least 1/2 inch above the full mark. Anyone have information on what the correct oil refill should be?

Page 151 of the supplied owners manual for the Rincon 680 specifies 4.3 US Qts of oil when changing the oil and filter. However, this over-filled (on dipstick) considerably. Checked with service dept at Al Lamb Honda and after checking his service manual, there is obviously an error in the owner's manual. Only if the engine is completely disassembled, are 4.3 qts required. His manual stated 3.1 qts to refill with oil and filter change. Anyone else out there have a 09 680 with that information in the manual?

I would put what I thought was correct in it and let it run for awhile the recheck it if it reads full then ride-on.....
