'91 or '92 Honda TRX 250X

This has been asked a billion times I am sure. Is the flywheel/coil compartment supposed to be wet? I opened up the flywheel/stator coil to look at the pickup and about a quart of oil came out.

Nice and black, like no one has ever changed it .

Anyway, is this right or do I have a blown gasket? Never work on this old girl before..

Lots of people have looked at this thread and no one has replied. So, I assume I'm not the only one to have had this question and I now have the answer so I will resolve it.

On a trx250x Honda ATV, there IS oil through-out engine block.

This includes the left side case with the fly wheel, stator, and pulse generator.

THANK YOU!!! I took my cover off today and a bunch of oil went everywhere and somebody told me it was suppose to be dry so i got a little worried. But its good to see thats its suppose to be wet.
