Yeah, I agree. Do a compression test and get your reading. Now pour about a teaspoon oil oil down in your spark plug hole and do another compression test. If the readings are higher, now, your rings are bad. It's a good ideal to go ahead and replace your valve stem seals, anyway, when you replace your rings.
