So i sold the 16/ Rubicon, 3500+kms on it from new. Got tired of the slow shifting, where i can ride an old 00 350 & it shifts like a new BMW dual clutch!
For another $600 more i got this 2013 Rincon, 1400kms. Dirty but seems to work ok. Never drove one before so it almost seems like the clutch is slipping, but once you get going it rolls along really fast. 1/2 the price of a left over King Quad 750 i was looking at. Should be good enough to keep up to my buds new 2019 Brute Force :eek

Nice :)
Don’t see may rincons arrive here, looking forward to hearing more about it as time goes on.

Yep that's the torque converter at work. It's all fluid coupling until you get to speed. Rincons are geared really high. I've ridden one a few times and had fun though.

they were telling me the new Rub'y has 499CC where the old ones were 475cc and they are foot shift now
Lol..yea right eh.
I wondered why the l/c'd was a smaller motor, but i suppose its so it would fit in the same spot the air cooled would with out having to make the cyl/ bigger on the outside.

Well, the sucker rocks...i do like the 'less shifting' with the 3 speed, & I find i would leave it in ESP mode so i can gear down, otherwise you are flying everywhere & no engine braking :eek
Harder steering of course with no PS, but the power more than makes up for that. Those tires are really too wide & will catch anything sticking out in a tighter trail, jerking the bars out of my hands, but the PS Rubicon used to do that too once & a while. Sits lower so its less tippy i find.
Roll it on in 1st or 2nd & it just vibrates with pull, love it. Can pop a wheelie with a little help from a bump or hill, (sorry, thats how i gauge my ATVs :icon_ rofl:) & you can drift it easy enough in 2nd even. Rough suspension, but the Rubicon wasnt a whole lot better, especially for a newly released machine.
Best time of year for wheeling!:grin

Is the rincon noticeably more powerful than a rubi/foreman?

If your not overly happy with the stock suspension I would strongly recommend 512 progressive shocks, I have them on my 450 foreman and it’s trmasformed the ride and handling, literally like riding a different ATV IMO.

Oh frig yes, way more power. It rides (to me), like an older Honda, but bigger. Rough & harder to steer, but the power, though not like a 750+, is still way better than the Rubicon. Plus i am not constantly pushing the shift buttons waiting for the computer to decide its ok to shift.

Figured i would give a little update on the machine.
So far i bought Elka Shocks for it, Stg1 on the front & Stg2 on the rear. I shouldve got 2 on the front i think as its still a little rough. Sold the tires & got a normal looking set, big difference right there. I pulled the little cover over the snorkel off & put a screen over it, & modded the pipe. Dont think i have seen 100kms/hr on it though. I have put over 1000kms on it since last year. The power is great, tho comparing to a 700+ machine its not as quick....but... I still look forward to riding it!:icon_ peace:
