Hi my name is mike. I just bought a new 2010 Honda Rancher At with power steering. I personally like it a lot. I have had it for 3 weeks and already went off roading with it at my friends property upstate NY. Climbing over downed trees, making our own paths through the forest and the day after that we went to a quad park and went through a really cool mud trail which I got covered in mud and so did the quad.
I unfortunately already caused some damage to the quad by the plastic just in front of the left foot peg broke from going over one of the obstacles we were climbing over and I also ripped my axle boot on a downed pine tree that had a bunch of foot long pieces of the branches coming out of it which I tried to climb over.
I have full under body skid plates and A-arm guards from http://www.aluminumproducts.com which the A-arm guards ended up bending back and the stick went upwards and right into the boot. But I don't care. I bought this as an off-road toy to do these things with so I am not upset at all that I have not even put 30 miles on the quad and I am already fixing it.
I am from Long Island NY about 30 minutes east of New York City. My friend just bought land upstate NY so we both bought quads and are having fun with them. I like all types of power sports. I owned a boat for 11 years, sold that about 3 years ago. I have had a Harley Davidson Sportster since 2003 which last year I circled the country on clock wise and next year will be going to Alaska on it. I have snow mobiled before which will probably be the next toy if I don't get a jet ski first. Now quadding is the new toy and I had fun the first time I used it. Can't wait for it to be fixed so I can get back out there and ride it.
