So guys I'm back. After a long hiatus and just riding my bud rancher I wanted to go back to my roots. I picked up a 350d today!

Although unless the PO dressed this quad up with a bunch of Fourtrax parts, this lioks like an 86 Fourtrax.
Check the vin because the ignition parts and others will not interchange between A and D models

'87's have the orange fog lamps as well bro . maybe even some of the early '88's ? ( sorry..slept sinse then..lol ). '88 and spec 89's have the clear lower fog/headlights.

not to make you drool OP ?, but the guy I work with has about 7 or 10 of these old girls just wasting away, and he asked me just yesterday if I wanted to build another one..or two ?..lol. I told him, if it wasn't for getting parts ( always the ones you really need to get them to run and roll ! ) ?, i'd consider it. but damn..its just a royal pain in the butt to get parts for them. I might take him up on it ?, I just hate digging in to a project on these old girls, and not getting all the correct parts I need for them. if anyone needs parts for them ?, AND MUST COME PICK THEM UP !, HE'S PROB GOT WHAT YOU NEED ?!. most do not have plastics, a couple of them does, most are robbed parts bikes, but there is still a lot of engines left in them.

Morning Shadetree! Roger that on the 87 A model having the same amber lamps.

I saw he posted that he got a 350D, but the D models all had those clear lamps. So he needs to check that label up front and the VIN before he starts buying parts.

I’ve only ever seen those fender stripes on 86 models. The PO could have swapped a bunch of A model hardware to a D model.

morning !..lol. yeah..those stripes are deff from a '86 or '87 fourtrax with those colors ?. the D model has different stripes. all the plastics will swap over to all years, with the exception of the holes not cut out on the '86 trx350 fourtrax, why ?, because honda did not sell that model back then with the racks !..lol. it was optional back then.

I believe the blue striped ones were 86's.

I actually saw a similar subject discussed on FB a couple of days ago and I think Toodeep (from the other Honda forum) said that blue stickers were only on 86's. His family owns a dealership and he has a lot of the older bikes.

its an 86 fortrax i have just called it a d to my friends to quit confusing with the old 350 rancher i had. im going to post a build thread soon, and keep it updated.
