Hey Guys.. newbie here and hope you guys can help me!

I have a 2000 400Ex. Only mods are a white brothers E series exhaust and header.

About 4 years ago, I parked the quad and was not able to have fun, but recent snow made me want to get it running again. Battery was dead of course. New Battery, new NGK R spark plug, new gas, all set.... Well, the quad wont start now. I have NO spark going to the spark plug after many tests, and was wondering if this is going to cost me a grand, or maybe I can get some help from some enthusiasts and save a buck.


Any help would be appreciated!! (I am not super-mechanic hero, so any help with a small explanation would be appreciated! hahaha

Check your wires a mouse could have chewed a few wires up. Also clean your carb. Welcome to the forums.

Does the neutral light come on? If it does, then, I would check the resistance of the ignition coil primary and secondary circuits, stator, and pulse generator. If none of these check out bad, then it could be your CDI.
