lol, thanks bro. only seen red, yellow, and green fenders, no other color for this year model ?. but gonna go red. it's complete alright, all there, even a winch !..lol. ( have not looked to see what brand though ? ). the guy said he had some clutch work, and top end work done, new cam chain, then it just stopped , won't turn over, nothing..so he say's ?, have not had a chance to inspect it yet ?, still in the back of my truck..lol. I think I did great for 600 bucks, 9 hours of driving, and 40 bucks in gas..lol.
I take it you either strapped that quad to the roof of a VW Jetta or gas is much cheaper where you are at lol.
lmao^^^, gas is about $ 2.15 a gallon here.
We got 1.07/litre here which is $4.04/gallon CAD, then ya gotta figure currency...about $3.10/gallon.

You're just like me... sell a project and back looking for the next one the same day. Drives my wife nuts but she is finally coming around now that she realizes I make decent money on them.

LOl

Of course, down here the skeeters are big enough to screw a turkey standing flat footed.

That will clean up nice Shade. It will be nice to see you tear into something that I'll be familiar with.

You should see them up north in the summer time. Biggest mosquitos I've ever seen were up around the Alberta/NWT border. Insane. Easy to kill though, they are pretty slow early in the season.

That'll clean up nice. for the price you got it, I would replace all the plastic pieces, I've done rebuilds in the past where I mixed and matched new to old, and it just don't look that great once the armor all wears off :)

And the tear down begins ( I don't waste time..lol ). from these pics, can you see what is wrong ?..lol. in case ya don't ?, RED RTV SEALANT !!!!, it's on the stator cover, as well as the rocker box. next: it's kinda hard to see down inside the lower case, ( I pulled the top end off just now ), but if you look very closely at the idle gear ?, it's just hanging down in the front !!!..lol. not even attached to anything !!!..yeah, now I gotta pull the motor, split it, because it's full of metal crap !!, all you ppl that think flushing is the idea ?...THINK AGAIN !..LOL. the good news : piston looks ok ?, not 100% sure yet ?, as I have not checked the rings and bore yet in the cylinder ?. I will keep everyone up to date as I tear more into it :).

Anytime I see RTV over-used I cringe. Here was one of my favorite motor teardowns. RTV smeared all over the head gasket, blocking up the water passages on a Prairie 400 motor.

Seeing that ATV brings back a lot of good memories. That was my first, new, ATV purchase. Had a couple of three wheelers growing up but as soon as I started my first full time job out of college, I bought a yellow, 2005 foreman. Had to sell it in 2009 to help pay for a house. That is still my favorite out of all the other machines I have owned. Purchased my 2015 Rubicon based on my experience and enjoyment with that quad. Good luck with fixing it up. Can't wait to see the progress.
