hello all my name is Shiloh im not new to the forum ordeal but i am new to atv riding and i have just bought a 99 trx 400ex it runs but doesnt move it has a new clutch but the shifters kick lever snaped off either way after rigging it to work its still wont move it wants to you can feel the clutch grab but when you give it gas it just sits there pull the clutch and you can feel her let go again. release the clutch and she wants to go but wont? im lost i know cars for the most part but not quads where do i start and where are the free downloadable manuals i got the owners manual i need a service or repair manual any help will be a great help

i didnt see it but a trusted friend and fellow mech. took it down and put it back together and it ran for about an hour or two and then stopped working again so confusion is about to set in and imma have to drop it off at the dealer

sounds like it wasn't put back together right...did you put new oil in it made for wet clutches ??..i wouldn't take it to the dealer to repair..it's a real simple fix..providing you have a repair manual if you have never done one before ?..regardless..with our help here..we can get you back on the trails in no time !..just holler if ya need any help..and welcome to the forums !..also..did you check both clutches ??..could be your centrifugal clutch thats bad.
