Hi all! I'm new to this forum and happy I found you. I've got a '86 FourTrax 250 that's in pretty fair shape. I'm more experienced in 2 wheel mechanics but thought I'd give this 4 wheeled off road stuff a try. Right now I'm trying to get the electrical stuff sorted out. Turns out the P.O. gave me a manual for a 85 instead of an 86. I'm finding the wiring diagrams don't match what I have going on. Does anyone have a diagram for an '86 I could reference? I'm trying to figure out where some dead ended wires are supposed to go. The wierd thing is everything electrical on the quad works, so I suspect maybe I'm missing something that I don't know should be on this thing.

Welcome to the forums. You can download the owner's manual for the '86 Fourtrax 250 at the link below. It has a wiring diagram in the back, but it's a little hard to read the colors of the wires.
