I recently replaced the battery on my son's 2004 350ES. Now there is no gear position indicated on the display and of course the Rancher will not start. Is this an indication of a low battery or is there a way to troubleshoot the problem?

Either the battery is no good or you hooked it up wrong

Did you charge the battery before you installed it? most small batteries need to be trickle charged for atleast 12 hours before you hook them up.

Battery is fully charged and all the fuses are good. Could it be the angle sensor I read so much about? Is there a way to get a troubleshooting code?

with the key off push & hold up & down shift buttons and turn key on hold until 'N' starts flashing count the # of flashes for the code.
