Hi, I have many years with snowmobiles but I have just picked up my first ATV, a new 08 Honda Rancher. My question is that the alignment on these thins is way off and I was wondering if that is a common thing with new ATV's. I am hearing that the toe should be 1/4 out... is that correct. I guess I am looking for the reassurance that this is common and to fix it and get on with life, or is that not the case and I just got a bad one. Thanks for the help. Mike.

When the dealer gets them they are not put together. So you have some lot tech putting them together. Usually it is some 15 year old kid that works 3 hours a day after school.

Yes, 1/8-1/4"

thanks for the help. I thought that was the case, but after buying a new quad and then having to wrench on it the first day doesn't make you feel that great. Any quick tipe on how to align it other that straiten the bars and adjust the tie rods and measure the tires?

That's the only way i know of... unless you have the digital tool. Which if you did you wouldn't have asked.
