so i finally got my sportsman sold and drove down to Kentucky to look at two rancher 420s, both are es 4x4 with eps, very nice shape and i mean NO problems, picked em both up for 3k each, anyone think i got a good deal? p.s the camo one is mine and big red is my dads

Yes, you did well. The best you can get a Rancher 2 wheel drive around here is 2500-3000 and 3500-4000 for a 4WD model.
Where is that? 420 prices have been really soft around here.

I sold an 08 4x4 for $2250 a couple of months ago, with a winch, LED lightbar, and zero issues. Bought it to fix up for my brother in law and he didn't have the money. I ended up losing a little bit on it, but had it listed on FB and Craigslist for about a month before I had a buyer.

The prices down south seem to be much lower than up here in Indiana... but it seems like a lot more of them have been abused/sunk... I paid $2800 for my super clean 2012 Rancher ES w/ 1300 miles... wheel kit & bison bumpers... and I thought that was a really good deal!!! nada values were much higher!!!
