Here are some more pictures of my new quad with some new parts and a fresh paint job I am still waiting for my seat cover but other than that it is looking good. Also does any one have a set of front shocks for it mine are a little soft and I want to replace them.

If you can find some on ebay you could probably get some works for cheap.

The 01 660r shock works well. Most people lengthen the hose so the rezze can be located in a safe place. This shock is a little longer than the stock 300ex shock.
You can also use a banshee rear shock but the air box will have to be reshaped a little bit because the rezze is a piggy back.
Last but not least you can use a warrior rear shock. The rezze is remote, the hose is long enough to relocate. But the shock itself sucks. Its a up grade, but not by much.lol

Keep in mind that these people that are running a 660 rear are removing the linkage thus completely throwing off the geometry at which the shock is intended to work.

300 says it is the best but he has never used a GOOD rear shock that is setup properly. The 660 rear is a pogo stick.

This is true. To the best of my knowledge the banshee and warrior rear shocks are the same lenght as the 300ex. If the rear shocks are the same lenght would the geometry be off if the donor atv uses a dog bone and the 300ex does not?

How would 400ex shocks do?
Dont think yhe 400ex rear shock will fit on the 300ex/250x
I know the 660r upgrade is quite common and a lot of people swear by that 660 shock. If you do it you can only use a 01 shock.
When ever you mix and match parts it allmost never works out PERFECT. However with some other stock parts the price and gain in performance is so great it is worth it use th other part.
400ex front end on a 300ex/250X, perfect no, worth it yes
450r shocks on a 400ex, perfect fit no, worth it yes
450r carb on a 400ex, perfect fit no, worth it yes
and on, and on, and on.

BTW sharp looking 250X!
