Hello everyone my name is Ian and I live in central Pennsylvania. I have recently found after 7 years of searching my grandfathers 1986 Fourtrax 350! It took a lot of time and dead ends but it is finally sitting in my garage being worked on as we speak. I got her back up and running just like I remember it! With all this being said I have officially came to a part that Ive researched and to no avail. My only 2 questions are.......

1. Is there any aftermarket or OEM cv joint rebuild kit, or any company that makes an entire axle that will fit or someone willing to part with good ones that don't click...?
2. Is anyone running an aftermarket exhaust or does anyone have a clean OEM. This one is shot!!

Congratulations!

i know of no new parts suppliers for these two unless you camp out on fleabay occasionally these come up. Beware that not all parts are interchangeable and sellers frequently misrepresent the model years their parts will fit.

my project 86 came with a Cobra exhaust; here is my refinished kit plus two others i saw on the flea.

Thanks for responding. I ended up contacting a man they call "CV man" and he hooked me up with some rebuild kit. Hopefully it works! How does that cobra exhaust sound? Did you have to re-jet?

No rejetting and although this is a glass packed muffler it sounds just like the OEM muffler on my other 86.
Here’s a better shot of the baffle although i threw away the fiberglass material—it needed replacing

She's a beauty. Thats about what mine looks like right now. Waiting on exhaust and cv joint rebuild kit to get here and ill start re assembling. Im sure ill be ordering nuts and bolts to the body haha you know how that goes! I also have to get the speedo working just for shits and giggles!
