So i was riding the other day and heard a weird high pitched sound while i was cruising. It went away a little down the road, but today when i took it out, it was making the noise again. It only does it when you give it gas.
I took a vid. Please let me know if you have any ideas as to what it is.
It seems like it's coming from the starter area but im not sure.
THanks.

I can hear a little chirping like sound, every time he pushes the throttle, but I don't know what is causing it.

haha yea, i was just talking like nearly everyone else on here (and for good reason)... they all say you two have all the answers haha
I tried adjusting the valves about a month ago, but possibly i didn't adjust them correctly. The weather here isn't all that great in the forecast for this week, and i don't have much of a garage to work on it, but when i can, i'll definitely check the valves.
Thanks for the help so far.

when you adjust the valves..make sure you do it on a cold engine..don't even try to adjust them on a warm engine.

After the valves were adjusted, the noise was still present.
I had a local powersport mech. check it out and he had determined the motor mount must be worn and is causing the sound. If you put pressure on either side of the engine with your foot it would stop the sound. I ended up taking out each mount, greasing it, and reassembling, and the sound disappeared.

Glad you got it fixed. I had never seen that happen and didn't have a clue what the sound was.
