I'm new to ATV ownership. Just purchased 1986 TRX250 recently and came upon this forum while googling parts and info. Got a lot to learn and this looks like a good way of doing so. Thanks to those who share there knowledge.
Welcome to the forums, count me into the 250 club too, I’ve had a few! Great little machines, quite powerful too for a small ATV.

Thanks for all the welcomes. As soon as I got this 250 home I started disassembling and checking everything out. Needless to say I have had to order numerous parts. When i purchased the person I got it from said all I needed was pinion joint and battery. Turns out that was only the beginning of what was needed. When I get finished rebuilding I will post pics. Thanks again.
Gbrann sending you regards from the UK. You'll find this a very welcoming & inclusive forum with a great many guys who are always willing to help if you have a problem or simple question. Welcome.

gbrann , if it were me I would run 25 inch tires front and back , stay 8 inches wide in the front and go 12 wide in the rear , I ran that combination on the trx250 and had no problems
