Looking at getting a honda rancher 420
I've found a few I'm looking at and would like to know which is the better buy for the money. Both are the same list price of $5500. Yellow one is 2015 with 191 miles, winch and power steering. Blue is 2019 (base model)

Welcome to the forum! $5500 seems high,I bought a 2019 rancher 420 4x4 manual foot shift back in January for $5100 new.The 2020's should be arriving soon,so should be able get a lower price on the 19's.

how much snow do you get?
only reason I ask, is a rancher is geared a tad higher than a foreman
so if you only get snow every so often, a rancher is great, but if your in the heavy snow belt area, might want to look at something with more low range, so its not working harder than needed to get the job done for you!

as for what one to get, I like newer things, as all things wear out from TIME alone, so newer something is, longer it can last if cared for the same!
so the 19 gets my vote, and as stated, 2020's are out now, and left over priceing will soon be on 19's and such<
so, don't rush into buying maybe LOL

I'm in northern Minnesota so we get many feet of snow typically however the snow isn't an issue as my family owns a newer John deer tractor with a snow blade so I don't necessarily need the plow. How big of a difference does the power steering make on the rancher? Worth it? Or just another thing that's going to fail?

Personally,I see no need for power steering on a 4 wheeler.Just makes the price go up,and more things that will cost more to fix.

Hi: Power steering is the best thing to have on any ATV -- I wouldn't buy a bike without it.

I wouldn’t buy a used Rancher with a plow on it! The blue one would be better. I would pay just a bit more and get the Foreman myself.
