My 2017 Honda pioneer 700 is dropping out of gear. Just driving along and you just lose power, motor is still running but the transmission isn't engaged (selector never moves)
Also when it does this, if you coast to a stop it will bog the motor out but not if you force it into neutral. It's hard this problem for over a year. Now it won't drive 5 minutes and it does

Howdy and welcome from Northern Iowa
.
Sounds like the common old battery problem.
By any chance do you have a volt gage that you can look at when this happens?
.
Test your battery, or have it tested
key off
1) hook up a volt meter to the battery, what is the voltage?
have someone
2) turn on the key, what is the voltage?
3) and turn on the lights, what is the voltage?
4) and step on the brakes, what is the voltage?
5) and now start, watch the voltage what does it drop to when cranking to start?
IF at anytime you drop below 10 volts, most likely you have a weak battery.
.
"But, it starts just fine."
Our Hondas are so voltage sensitive, if you drop volts to far, the transmission will slip.
.
Have a good day
