I was wondering if anyone can help me with timing my sons 2002 trx90, I had to repair a stripped stud bolt and now can't get the machine running and need help setting the timing, any help is greatly appreciated as the manual I ordered hasn't arrived yet.

Welcome to the forums.


Turn the crankshaft counterclockwise and alian the "T" mark with the index notch on the left crank case

Install the dowel pin

Install the cam chain on the cam sprocket

Install the cam sprocket aligning its "O" mark with the index notch on the cylinder head.

welcome to the forums..yep..mud has ya covered..cept..he forgot to mention to make sure your piston is on the compression stroke and valve lobes must be facing straight down when you set the timming chain with the index marks.
