My first question will be in maintenance since I just changed the oil and went to clean the air filter and found the foam missing...ugggghhhh.
New Member here, bought a 99 trx300fw

Hello and welcome to the forums. If it is running ok then the oil change and filter is a good place to start.
I would also check the front and rear diff. fluid and the transfer case oil.

welcome to the forums. yeah..change the oil.. change the oil filter...make sure you do not put the oil filter in backwards !.check the front and rear diff oil, check to see if your brakes needs new shoes, check your battery post for corosion, check your cv joint boots for any cracks/tears..repack them with grease if they haven't ever been done ?. grab the front racks from the side where the tire is..pull it to you...is there alot of play in the front in ?..means your front knuckle bearings might need checking or replacing ?..do the same on the back..check for any side to side play..if so..means your rear axle bearings are getting bad. with some wd-40 < this is what i use >..spray the ends of all your cables. there is so many things i can tell you to check..but these are the simple things.

Working my way through everything but everything is working great, cleaned the carb and checked all the levels and replaced everything that was missing with the filter, thanks for tips guys.
