New to the Forums, just wanted to say whats up and get registered. (Been stalking the forums for a while.)
I picked my wife up a 2000 Fourtrax 300 last year so she could go riding with me (mostly at Xtreme Off Road) but have since taken it over as my primary deer lease, trailride, off-road park companion. I've known about "Honda Reliability" since BigReds were new. My old bike (2007 Polaris 800) was just overkill for most of the riding I do, and has since been sold. I was actually quite surprised the little honda could go almost anywhere the Polaris could. (Without Breaking I might add.) Paid $1400 dollars for it, all it needed was a battery. (Starts first kick when cold) Came with brand new BearClaws on it.

Additions to Bike:
Bluetooth sound system
Led Flood Lights
Battery Tender

Next Upgrades:
Floorboards
Winch
2in Lift (Maybe)
Rifle Holder
Recover Seat (Someone made a sloppy mess of the current one)

Repairs made: (Three Teenage Boys Riding Like Teenage Boys)
Battery
New Shoes (All)
New Master Cylinder/ Wheel Cylinders

My only complaint with my FourTrax is the crap ride quality, but it is a solid rear axle and 17 years old.

welcome to the forums. correction, the trx300 is not a solid rear axle unlike the real solid axle atvs are ?. yes, they have a solid axle going from side to side ?, but !!. they are what I call an open solid axle :). the REAL solid axle as most of us know of ?, is when the axle is enclosed by an axle tube, this is a true solid axle as most old folks like me know them by :).

it's still a solid axle considering it you compare to say a IRS axle ?, where they are split from a rear differential with separate rear drive axles, soo..yeah..it's still a solid axle for the most part :).

When atvs are concerned fourtrax's have true solid rear axles ( a solid, unbroken shaft connecting both wheels)..a solid axle on my Silverado is a live axle..not solid ( as two separate axle shafts are connected in the center by a carrier of various designs) just saying. :icon_ poke:
