Hey Guys -- really glad I found this forum. I've got a 2001Honda Rubicon TRX 500 FA 4x4 -- and what a workhorse. Been having problems with the auto trans -- I get the flashing symbols in the gearshift display and the vehicle only runs in one gear.

I suspect the Shindenger CDI (CI-736) but don't know where to get it tested. I'm in central Texas near Abilene or Ft Worth.

I get five blinks which in my book says its a "Angle Sensor system (Motor Lock) problem.

Im wonderin if some one could help me too!!!! I have an 2001 Foreman 500, and while climbing a small hill the tranny gave out, and i had no gears in forward or reverse. I show an error code 5. The machine runs fine, but when put in gear, either forward or reverse, all i hear is grinding gears from the throttle side on the tranny case. Is this just my angle sensor or do i have major problems?

to the guy in the first post-replace that angle sensor and make sure that you have the proper voltage from your battery
