New here and just picked up my first bike from a buddy. I gave $250 for it. Neither one of us knew it's value so I just gave him some cash. He said I could have it back if I think I got taken.
It's an 86 Fourtrax 350 4x4. All the plastics are trash basically. He said he had it running a year ago and it was backfiring, prob needs the valves adjusted.So, yesterday and today I'm tearing it down and changing oil, plug, oil & air filters, gear oil, etc. Already took the rear brakes apart and free'd them up from being stuck.
Hope to learn to work on these things. I grew up in a automotive shop and have built many cars and more motors than I can remember.
