Just purchased a 2007 Rancher AT Gscape. The bike has 18 hours and 80 miles on it. Going to take it in for the 20 hour service. I checked the oil and it looked very clean but would only register when dipstick was screwed in. Measured half way between the low and full marks. Based on manual it is obviously low. Is this normal? Bike had been stored a while. Would this affect the oil reading?

Well first of all ....Welcome to the forums. Second these engines are small and produce alot or heat so some disapation of oil will be noticed mine runs halfway too.

Welcome to the forums!! I agree with moose 100% Also oil should be checked with the dip stick screwed in.
