When I was shopping for a smaller ATV....I almost didn't look at the Recon.... Well, I brought it home today and took it for a ride in a little mud / snow....
I'm extremely pleased! For it's size.....1 word...WOW!:):):)

We bought one our son last year for x-mas and I put a 2" lift and 24s on it and what a diff. it made, little sluggish on power but perfect for him. Only wish they made it 4x4. But a tough little quad, hope u injoy.

Congrats on the new atv! I just bought a new Recon for my son for Christmas as he has outgrown the TRX90 that we have. It's been "regulated" to the granddaughter's!
Recons are tough machines and I can vouch for this because of the treatment I saw a neighbor give to one!

LOL You have the same as me 2 boys and a girl 10,8 and 7.My oldest son rides pretty darn good and my girl dont have any fear but my 8 year old son he is cautious. I think us babying him when he had cancer slowed him down some. But he likes to ride.

How old is your son? My kids are ALREADY getting ideas....But I think they are a bit young still.
My son was 8 when I bought him his TRX90. He started out on a battery powered atv that was handed down from a friend at age 3. I installed a 12 volt lawn tractor battery on it so he could drive it for several hours before it needed charging.
He is 11 now and has shot up in height! He has grown an inch since school started in August!

He also has a form of autism....Asperger's Disorder....and surprisingly mastered driving the 90 real quick! He also drives my wife's 350 Bruin and my Rubicon and just looks to tall on the 90.
Hopefully this Recon will last him for a long time!

I'm not worried about my son so much as I am about my granddaughter on my wife's side of the family. She's 6 and the last time she was down, I had to stay on her about speed and had to run the throttle stop screw in more! She's more of a wild one than my son ever thought about being!

As well as I remember, my daughter was that way and so is MY granddaughter, who is 5!

I have found out that boys will be boys growing up but little girls seem to be just as "bad", if not more so, than little boys!
