Hi folks. I have an '08 Rancher 420 4x4 ES. Imo it's a fantastic atv. I once had a Recon, which was also fantastic, but I wanted a 4x4. I like having a fourwheeler that doesn't weigh a ton, so it's still fairly light and nimble. Also that it doesn't weigh so much I can't man handle it out of a sticky situation if I need to, and so it's less likely to injure me in a rollover. Which I've put to test. Haha

I bought it new in '08. It's in great shape, other than a few bent racks and some cracked plastic. It hasn't been babied. Haha.

I look forward to learning more about these fourwheelers!

I can see that already! Maybe we can keep the ol' gal running strong vs spending $6000 dollars again.

I looked earlier today for a response on another thread. She has 250ish hours and 890 miles.

Once I've performed all applicable maintenance I will start keeping my eye out for a set of plastic. All the racks have been bent and straightened but they aren't too bad. Haha. The plastic has several cracks, and is faded.

Some photos for your viewing pleasure. Needs a little tlc. The solenoid for my winches is done for, which is why both cables are out. I want to replace the cables with a synthetic rope after I replace the solenoid. I'm also going to tidy the snorkel up a bit and paint it. All after tires though. I'm also bouncing around the idea of adding a battery if I put a box on the rear with a battery selector switch. Wired in parallel so I can use it for long winches, but disconnect it when not in use to save strain on the charging system. Maybe.
