New here. Hoping to find a manual for a fourtrax250

The kids were jumping in my shift lever trying to start the thing and now it is stuck in gear nd hence won't start I have tried force and leverage and can't seem.to get anything to work.

Do I have no choice but to open it up?
And if so I have never torn one of these apart but and pretty mechanically inclined. Is there any tips or tricks I should know and perhaps where I should begin, given my specific situation?
