Hey all. Great site. I’ve been lurking and searching for weeks anticipating my new project. Finally picked it up for a steal and now the rebuild begins.

‘86 fourtrax 350. Seems to be in good shape short of the normal “it’s been parked a few years” issues. I’m sure there will be a few surprises along the way to get it running again, but, it’ll be a fun process.

I’ll get some pics up in the next day or so and look forward to sharing my build with you all.

These are rugged reliable great machines but parts are getting harder to find.

You have to remove quite a few body parts to remove the carb or set the valves, so every fastener may be stuck with corrosion. Consider spraying Deep Creep in every nut and bolt you can see, use the best screwdrivers, six-point sockets, etc you can find to remove them. Make sure you are flat on the bolts and nuts so you don’t round them.
Use antiseize when reinstalling.
