hey here from IOWA just here to get advise and mechanical support, i have a 04 400ex that i have raced in different race formats (TT flat track, motocross, and hare scramble) looking to get back into hare scrambles so ill be posting and asking things regarding that style of riding and racing.
Little about the 400-
Bored to 85.5mm using a Wiesco 11:1
Minor P&P
Stage 2 Hotcam
HD 400ex or CRF 450 timing chain (cant remember which one i did)
Kibble White Valve kit ( stock length, just Heavy Duty)
K&N main filter plus a K&N filter lid for stock air box, with a custom crankcase filter
42 and 160 maybe 170 something for jetting, Stock carb.
HMF slip on Exhaust
-1 tooth in front (renthal) and +1 in rear (renthal) sprockets has gold o-ring chain
Cheaper brand (FULLFLIGHT) +2 +1 A arms
+2 Steel braid Front brake lines
Stock Honda 450r front shocks
Stock 400ex rear shock
+3/4" TUSK rear hubs
Rims nothing fancy came with the bike (bent), but i have used GBC front and used Maxxis rear tires
Stock Swing Arm
Stock axle and barring along with stock axle nut
Stock 400ex steering stem
Stock 400ex front hubs
ASV break away Brake and Clutch levers and perch
PowerMadd hand gaurds
I run 91 octane with no addatives (runs hot enough) and Lucas 10w 40 oil. I have GT thunder Head studs that are waiting to be installed also...
