I am new to forums and have only owned ATVs for a couple years. I haven't had to do much to mine yet.
I've been working on cars all my life so I should be able to fix anything that goes wrong with a little help.
I ride an 04 Foreman, my son has an 03 Rancher, and my wife has an 01 Recon.
I am having problems with the main 30 amp fuse blowing on my son's 03 Rancher.
We went to start it in the garage and had no power. I checked and found the blown fuse but when I put a new one in it blows instantly when it makes contact. We had it running a few days before this with no issues.
I checked out the wiring for any visible problems but didn't find anything.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I had the same problem on a different machine, the spring in my start button actually collapsed and was causing it. Make sure you check EVERYTHING.

You are grounding out on something like red racer said check your button then work your way through the harness this is easiest if you remove the plastics. you have a wire or switch bad somewhere, good luck and keep us posted.

Problem solved!!!!:icon_ banana:
The regulator turned out to be the problem. I unplugged it and the fuse quit blowing.
We put a new one on and it is up and running again.
I also found that Cheapcycleparts.com was a lot cheaper than the dealer on the part.
Thanks for the help guys.
