hey guys whats going on? my name is tom, im new to this forum and joined a few others as well lol, well i havent rode in about 5 years but just picked up a 2002 400ex the other day, and love it , its funny how you never loose the itch to ride now i know what i was missing. ive rode a few times this weekend at a local track some of you may know of walden playboys that i live right down the road from. ill get pics up of my 400 when i take them lol, but im getting black maier plastics for cheap on craigs list so the pics will most likley come after i install them.


i also am looking for the following parts, nerf bars i want ones with heel guards if possable, and used full curtis sparks exhaust , i dont like the yoshi never have, and a new front bumper. thanks guys

thanks bro, i think it has a big bore kit but not too sure i plan on putting a 440 kit on it to rebuild the top end and get more power kill two birds with one stone

Yeah, 400EX looks good. If you get the 440 kit, don't forget to get the heavy duty head bolts.

I don't think the kits come with the head bolts.

KB Motorsports, one of our site vendors, has the 440 kits.

I'm not sure, but I would say that KB Motorsports would have the HD head bolts, too.

I have heard a lot of people say that if you don't get the HD head bolts, the head gasket will blow.
