Just picked up my first quad this afternoon. Brand new red 2008 TRX250EX. Will be riding up in St. Helen/Houghton Lake area. I was originally looking at bigger machines, but started weighing in the cost vs. benefit and decided the 250 was the most economical choice.

I'm ready for my first mod though...I want to do a HID conversion. Is there a site that sells a kit that I can install? I found a kit for an 08 400EX, but that model has 2 bulbs, and I'm not sure if the wiring harness would be compatible. I wouldn't mind paying the extra price for having to buy a dual kit, but I just don't know if it would work.

Welcome to the site, you got yourself a very solid machine. I'm not finding much in the way of light upgrades for that machine.

Thanks. Ya, I've been googling for the past hour and not finding much. Honestly, I'm not surprised, but I was talking to a couple car guys on another forum where a lot of us have installed HIDs in our cars, and they seem to think that at the very least I can just drop in a generic HID kit with a same style bulb as the stock.

Do you know off hand what style bulb it is? My closest guess so far is an H4.
