Hello, I recently picked up my first 400ex. It is a 2004. I am needing a new left upper A-arm as I believe the ball joint is shot. The quad pulls to the left pretty bad. Any suggestions on the cheapest place to find one would be great.

It is hard to believe, but Partzilla lists the left upper A-arm for your bike as being obsolete!

51385-HN1-003 ARM SUB-ASSY., L.

Hopefully you'll be able to find one in left over stock at a Honda dealer... or maybe the performance aftermarket offers them..?

Someone with more knowledge may be able to help you.

I have a friend that runs a Honda Dealerships parts counter, and he can get me a new one for $75.00 just wondering if there were any cheaper places to get them.

Well, partzilla listed them at $103, so if you can buy one from a dealer for $75, I'd consider doing that. Anything cheaper may get you into junk china knockoff parts... which you don't ever want on your bike. Hopefully the other A-arms are still good and tight.

Yeah 75.00 for a new oem one is highway robbery. Jump on that for sure! Only other option is get a tie rod end for a s10 chop all of them and install them on all 4. Then you can replace them as you need. But that still wont even compete with 75.00. By far the cheapest option.
