The rear differential on my 2004 honda trx350 TM needed a new backplate, so I ordered a new OEM one and there was something missing, its called the ring gear stopper. It's a dime sized piece on the inside of the differential backplate. My old one has it, and on the new one there is just a little hole where it needs to be. What does this do because I cant seem to find any videos referring to it and its functions. And how do I put one on? On a parts diagram, it shows it.

Take it out the old housing and put it into the new housing , if you can get it out with vise grips or a screw driver and hammer , then drill a hole thru the housing and use a punch and hammer , the housing is not good any more so drilling it won't matter
