I'm very new to the powersports world. I've recently switched jobs and i've found a pair of '00 400ex's at my disposal. My mission is to get them running like they should.

im only slightly mechanically inclined. I'll be using the forums to check out howto's, buy parts and typical forum shenanigans.

ya. this is refreshing change compared to other forums ive been on. thanks for pic props. haha.

this is the culprit (you guys like the brake pads the owners left on there?)

i cant get the caliper assembly back on because the highlighted guy wont properly compress.

suggestions?

i'd like to get this sucker back on the trails

Are you using a C-clamp to compress it? It's not trying to go in crooked, is it?
